To celebrate our 20th Anniversary Season, Columbia Ballet Collaborative is looking back at the memories that have shaped our organization while celebrating the incredible choreographers who have passed through CBC and gone on to make lasting impacts on the dance community.

For our fall season, we are thrilled to welcome back three choreographers whose histories with CBC span the organization’s recent past. Claudia Schreier first choreographed for CBC in 2010, Danielle Diniz in 2020, and Take Ueyama in 2024. Since their time with the Collaborative, each has continued to expand their artistic practices, choreographing across the United States and internationally, while receiving numerous notable accolades along the way. We are so excited to welcome them back and celebrate the remarkable careers they have built since their time at Columbia.

In addition, we are excited to restage Who Cares? by George Balanchine, with the wonderful Deborah Wingert, with whom the Collaborative has had the pleasure of working in the past. Rounding out the season, we are delighted to welcome Danielle Zucarro as our student choreographer. Danielle has been dancing with CBC since her first semester at Columbia, and we are excited to support her as she takes on a new role as a creator within the organization.

This fall season is both a celebration of where we have come from and a reflection of what CBC continues to be, which is a place where artists are free to experiment and create. As we honor twenty years of memories, we look forward to creating the next chapter together.
