Christina Clark
Christina Clark is a member of the Corps de Ballet of New York City Ballet. She is also an undergraduate student at Columbia University in the School of General Studies. Born and raised in New York City, Christina began her ballet training at age 7 when she was accepted to the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, in 2005. A student for eleven years at SAB, Christina also trained during the summer months at the Chautauqua School of Dance, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, and Boston Ballet School. In 2016, she graduated from SAB and became an apprentice with NYCB. She joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in August 2017. With NYCB, Christina has performed roles in over 30 ballets including works choreographed by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Alexei Ratmansky, and Christopher Wheeldon. Outside of Lincoln Center, she has danced on tour with the NYCB in Washington DC, Copenhagen, Denmark and Shanghai, China. As a choreographer, Christina choreographed her first piece at age 15 when participating in the Choreographer’s Workshop at the Chautauqua School of Dance. Her piece was awarded first place and subsequently performed at the Chautauqua Amphitheater summer gala. In 2015, Christina choreographed a piece for the School of American Ballet Student Choreographic Workshop. In 2016, she choreographed a piece for summer students attending the School of American Ballet’s Summer Ballet Intensive. This will be her first piece for the Columbia Ballet Collaborative.
