Robert Mulvey was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and trained at the Washington School of Ballet under Kee Juan Han and the San Francisco Ballet School under Lola De Avila and Patrick Armand. During his training, he performed in numerous productions with both schools and their respective companies. Over his professional career spanning more than a decade, Robert danced with San Francisco Ballet, Washington Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet, Nevada Ballet Theatre, Barak Ballet, and Cirque du Soleil. He also freelanced with companies across Los Angeles County.

Robert has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers, including Alejandro Cerrudo, Aszure Barton, Menghan Lou, Ma Cong, Nicolas Blanc, Nicolo Fonte, and Christopher Wheeldon. His repertoire includes works by George Balanchine and Ben Stevenson, among others. As a choreographic assistant to Stephanie Martinez of PARA.MAR Dance Theatre, Robert contributed to the creation of two world premieres for Joffrey Ballet Chicago and Amy Seiwert's Imagery.

Currently, Robert is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at Columbia University, majoring in Philosophy with minors in Dance and French. He is thrilled to join CBC as the Assistant Artistic Director this Spring.
