James Shee
James Shee began his ballet training at Deane Dancer Center in Sacramento, CA, and spent one year as a trainee with the San Francisco Ballet. In 2007, James joined the National Ballet of Canada, dancing featured roles in Giselle, Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room, Nureyev’s Sleeping Beauty, and Jorma Elo’s Pur ti Miro as well as in works by James Kudelka, Aszure Barton, Sabrina Matthews, and Peter Quanz. In New York City, James has appeared with Tom Gold Dance and the Columbia Ballet Collaborative, performing a number of Balanchine ballets, and also works by Tom Gold, Kevin Jenkins, Craig Salstein, Antonio Carmena, and most recently Silas Farley. James graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Chemistry in 2014, and is currently in his last year of a PhD program in Chemical Physics at Columbia University.
